Piuval lodge is one of the most sophisticated lodge in the northern Pantanal. The lodge is located in Poconé, on the Transpantaneira park road kilometer 07. Piuval is inside a big property of over 10 hectars. The accommodation itself offers a very satisfactory amenity. Piuval lodge has an air conditioned restaurant with very beautiful view of the fields and marshes. Indeed, the typical pantaneiro food is very rich in salads and vegetables. Furthermore, they also have a playground with a bar by the swimming pool. Howerver, the accommodation has 30 rooms all with air conditioner, hot shower, tv set, and a refrigerator. the rooms have three different categories; standard, luxury and master suits.
Despite the confort, the lodge offers to its guests, it also has beautiful landscapes, hiking trails, two towers, a river and a huge bay. Moreover, their areas are full with wildlife for visitors to watch and photograph. In the farm, they have swamps and higher areas that forms little islands during the wet season. At this point, the higher places or capãos, is where tourists can go hiking and birdwatching.
In the farm, tourists are able to make many activities. The first activity visitors of Piuval lodge can do is hiking in the forests and capões, observing wildlife. Moreover, Piuval lodge has healthy pantaneiro horses, and the visitor can go for a horse back ride in the fields and even in the swamps of the farm. Another option is a boat ride in the piuval bay from december to may and in the pixaim river from june to november. At last, visitors can make the wildlife safaris on the jeep. Tourists can make safaris during the day as well as during the night.
To sum up, Piuval lodge is a very well recommeded accommodation for tourists who love nature and want to have some confort during the time in the Pantanal.
